Bio:
Alyssa Quintanar is a yoga teacher, competitor, and coach within the USA Yoga community. Rooted in the Ghosh lineage, her practice is shaped by years of consistent study, disciplined training, and a deep respect for yoga as a lifelong practice.
She competed at USA Yoga Nationals in 2025, placing 7th in the Women’s 34–49 division, and continues to actively compete. Alyssa trains under Kim Tang as part of Team Kim Tang, where she continues developing her practice through advanced posture work, competition preparation, and ongoing study of the 84 Asanas.
Alongside her competition background, Alyssa has taught for over a decade across multiple modalities including 26&2, Intermediate Yoga Sport 90, Yin Yoga, Inferno Hot Pilates, Classic Hot Pilates, and Advanced 84. Her approach to coaching draws from both the technical side of yoga sport and a broader understanding of movement, recovery, breath, and nervous system regulation developed through years of teaching and practice.
Her coaching focuses on:
posture refinement and alignment
strength and mobility development
flexibility with control and stability
breath awareness under intensity
stage presence and presentation
consistency, resilience, and long-term progression
Alyssa works with athletes at different stages of development, helping them build confidence in their practice while refining the details that support stronger, more sustainable performance. Her coaching style is structured, detail-oriented, and supportive, with an emphasis on helping athletes move with clarity, steadiness, and intention.
She views yoga sport as an opportunity to cultivate discipline, awareness, and presence both on and off the stage.
