Jolinda Cary
Bio:
Since her first class in 2002, Jolinda has practiced and taught Bikram Yoga all over the world, from her hometown in Santa Barbara to Kathmandu. When you come to her class, you can expect a traditional, high-energy, and meditative experience, usually with a couple of bad yoga jokes thrown in (she thinks they’re funny). Students say her classes are “truly inspiring” and a reflection of who she is when she’s off the mat as well: “Genuine, loving, insightful, kind, direct and knowledgeable”. Jolinda considers herself to be a lifelong student, and since completing the intensive nine-week Bikram Yoga teacher training program in 2009, she has refined her practice and her teaching skills under the guidance of a number of senior teachers, continually seeking to deepen her understanding of how this yoga works to unite and heal the body, mind, and spirit. She serves as a certified judge and coach with the USA Yoga organization and is an amateur gold medal-winning powerlifter.
